NewsToday Launches NewspaperDirect Service In Thailand

Bangkok: NewsToday Co., Ltd., the exclusive Thai partner of NewspaperDirect, a leading global innovator in the supply of international newspaper titles in an electronic format, today announced the launch of its unique multi-national newspapers delivery services in the Thai marketplace.
Despite the advent of newer forms of information gathering and news dissemination, it is estimated that there are still over 500 million newspapers bought and read around the world every day, and increasing numbers of these publications are read outside of the local market in which they are published. The number of worldwide news consumers continues to grow day-by-day and more and more people are traveling further afield, either for business or leisure purposes. Nowhere is this better illustrated than in Thailand. The country is a major global tourism destination attracting over 8 million visitors a year. In addition, it has a resident expatriate or foreign population estimated to be over a quarter of a million people. At NewsToday's office, all multi-national newspaper copies are printed in black and white on both sides of high quality paper by high-speed printers. These copies are then collated, stitched and personally addressed to each subscriber. In addition to expatriates and foreign residents, NewsToday's target markets include 4 and 5 star hotels, foreign chambers of commerce, embassies, foreign companies and Thai joint ventures with foreign companies, the retail sector, major events, seminars and conferences and airports. The company plans to open a second facility in Pattaya within the next couple weeks and has further plan to expand its services to Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen in the near future.
