NewspaperDirect to Provide Same Day Newspapers for Cruise Lines around the World

Miami Beach, FL: NewspaperDirect, the leading print-on-demand newspaper delivery service, announced today that is has formed a strategic alliance with Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), the world's leading provider of global communications solutions for the maritime industry. Under the alliance, MTN will have access to the NewspaperDirect network to provide same day, out-of-market newspapers to cruise line passengers.

NewspaperDirect uses its proprietary technology and partnerships with more than 100 of the world's leading newspapers from the United States, Europe, and Asia to provide travelers with their hometown newspapers - at points all around the world. Newspaper publishers electronically transmit their files to the NewspaperDirect network daily, with hard copies printed on remote high-speed laser printer installations, so travelers can keep in touch while traveling the world.

Under the strategic alliance, MTN will utilize its superior global satellite services to access these newspaper files, providing yet another critical service for its customers in the cruise line industry. MTN customers will have the ability to print only the newspaper titles and quantities needed for their passengers and can utilize the service as an additional revenue opportunity or as a free service to foster customer loyalty and repeat visits.
