NewspaperDirect to Provide Worldwide Distribution for

Same-Day, Print Edition of the World's Largest Daily Newspaper Now Delivered Globally
NewspaperDirect (www.newspaperdirect.com), a technology company specializing in the global delivery and local printing of same-day editions of newspapers from around the world, has expanded its roster of publishing partners. Japan's The Yomiuri Shimbun, the world's largest daily newspaper, with a daily circulation of more than ten million, is now available through NewspaperDirect in 66 countries.
This addition to the company's newspaper selection follows recently announced distribution deals with the Tampa Tribune (USA), Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (USA), Guardian (UK), Observer (UK), and Ha'aretz (Israel), bringing the total number of NewspaperDirect newspaper offerings to more than 180. Other newspapers distributed by NewspaperDirect include The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune.
"The Yomiuri Shimbun is following the trend towards digital distribution and local printing," said NewspaperDirect Vice President of Sales & Marketing Richard K. Miller. "NewspaperDirect economizes and simplifies global distribution for newspaper publishers of all sizes."
NewspaperDirect's titles are delivered outside their original markets and laser-printed in an 11"×17" (A3) format. All of NewspaperDirect offerings are exact reproductions of the locally printed editions, delivered in a more portable format. The service is currently available through NewspaperDirect's network of international partners and licensees, with newspapers delivered to major hotel chains, cruise lines, airlines and retail outlets.
