Global business newspaper available in key business destinations everywhere

Vancouver, Canada, October 18, 2005NewspaperDirect is pleased to announce that The Business, the weekly business newspaper owned by Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay based in London, has chosen NewspaperDirect as its exclusive out-of-market digital print, sales and distribution partner.

NewspaperDirect provides publishers with a network of over 400 print locations in 70 countries through which to print and distribute their titles to reach their readers wherever they may be, as well as online service www.Pressdisplay.com which provides direct access to newspaper titles through the Internet.

At The Business, we have a simple mantra by which we operate", explained Paul Woolfenden, Managing Director of The Business, "We want to deliver global business news on-paper, on-line, on-mobile at any time of day and night. Many of our readers travel the world on business (and pleasure) and NewspaperDirect is a very efficient way for us to be available in key business destinations."

"Mr. Woolfenden continued "NewspaperDirect presented us with a clear message on how we could work together, and on how the relationship would work. We also looked at the quality of the digital printed copy and we were very impressed. I believe that NewspaperDirect is the ideal partner to help us achieve our readership goals".

David Owen, NewspaperDirect Vice President for EMEA said, "The Business is a great product and NewspaperDirect can hopefully provide the catalyst for their future growth through improved global exposure. The Business is now available in print or electronic form when and where their readers require it."

Mr Owen added, "Our model of zero cost access to a global marketplace is attractive to a growing number of publishers and I am really looking forward to working with The Business to help build their circulation sales".

As for the future Mr Woolfenden had this insight, "So far we have focused on print-on-demand but we will quickly follow up with NewspaperDirect's online version. We believe that this medium will evolve as more readers come on board. So in terms of our 'out-of-country' availability, 'online' will itself become mainstream."
